The event itself takes its name from one of Retfords more famous landmarks- The Savastopol Cannon. Captured from the Russians during the Siege of Sevastopol it was hauled back to Retford and with much pomp and ceremony displayed in its current position, Cannon square sometime after 1856.

The Bring & Buy
There will be a traditional bring and buy at this event situated on the balcony level (above the ballroom) that will give visitors a chance to purchase gaming goodies at a reasonable rate or to just off-load your old projects. The booking form can be found HERE.
also a US 7th Cavalry Re-enactment Group and STAR WARS costume characters will be attending.
More to follow (including game details) . . .
In a change from last year there will be NO Bar and the B&B will move up to the gallery. Unfortunately, stairs access only will restrict guests with mobility issues as there is no lift to this section. The Ballroom trading space has expanded with the stage now fully open . All these changes will create space for more than 12 tables/Traders at the cost of side-lining the B&B’s size in proportion to this event. Having said that, the B&B was excellently run last year and I expect the usual horde of bargains on the day!
Also, each Club/Group/Individual (non-commercial) hosting a game on display at Cannon 2014 will automatically enter a raffle draw to win £50 in prize vouchers to spend on goodies from any one single trader attending this event!
